COMMISSIONS

To order a commission, please first check to make sure that commissions are open on the Status Page.  Then, please read the Terms of Service (TOS) in its entirety before filling out the request form here which will ask for all information on your desired order.

I know this is long, but please bear with me – this is for your protection as well as mine ^_^  If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask!

Artist’s Rights

  • I reserve the right to decline a commission for any reason (be it due to subject matter, level of skill required or other)
  • I reserve the right to cancel a commission for any reason
    • Full refund will be given if the issue is on my side due to instances such as: unforeseen schedule changes or circumstances, illness, inability to secure materials where no alternate is available etc.
  • If a commission must be cancelled for an issue on your side, no refund will be issued. Examples are:
    • Full payment not made
    • Request to cancel on commissioner’s side
    • Behavior such as harassing the artist or failure to follow the agreed upon TOS
      • Harrassment defined as but not limited to: Rude language, threats, excessive messages or requests for changes or updates (I will update you as I go, I promise)
    • Failure from the commissioner’s side to respond to communication. If after a period of 2 weeks (14 days) no communication is received after being sent from the artist’s side, the commission will be deemed abandoned and plush and commission slot and any work done forfeit.
  • I retain the rights to images of the artwork/plush I make. You may not post up pictures of the artwork without giving due credit to the artist (me).  The commissioner agrees to not take credit for construction of the plush nor represent the artwork in a misleading manner of any kind.
  • I retain the rights to the patterns and designs used for the finished product. The commissioner agrees not to use artist’s pattern for their own profit or distribute it.
  • The commissioner understands and agrees that artwork is made via the artist’s (my) interpretation. Please refer to previous work for examples on my Plush Gallery
  • I (the artist) will NOT copy another artist’s work (as in requests to copy another artist’s style, technique or otherwise. Reference pics for size/color etc are acceptable).  Requests for this may result in future denial of commissions.

 

Payment

  • To secure a slot in the queue, a mandatory non-refundable deposit of 50% of the quoted amount must be paid for most plushes. This is to secure materials and the initial planning and construction of the plush.  (For basic pricing, refer to my Pricing Page)
    • NOTE: Custom Orders will not be worked on until the deposit is made and are at the top of the queue.  Commissions are typically done in the order they are accepted unless otherwise noted (such as a delay in materials or a change is requested by the current top spot or one plush can be finished much faster than another)
  • Once the plush is done, the remaining 50% is due for the completed plush to be sent to you
  • For a non-fanart original character or minor, not well known character commission, 100% of the commission is due up front before work will commence.
  • Deposit is due within 1 week (7 calendar days) of price quote given/invoice sent otherwise slot may not be secured and may subsequently lost.
  • Price quotes do not include shipping fee
  • If an order must be cancelled from artist side due to an unforeseen circumstance, a full refund will be issued
  • If a Custom Plush order is cancelled due to reasons on your side, a refund will not be issued. (As a buyer, you are protected via Paypal/Etsy but as a seller I am not – thank you for your understanding)
    • I also reserve the right to sell, dismantle or re-purpose any plush order if forfeited.
  • I accept Paypal, or, if you choose a custom order/procedure may be set up for you via Etsy for other payment methods. DO NOT send cash or checks in the mail as this is unsafe for you!
    • I do not accept gift cards, trades or IOUs
  • All prices/payment due is in US dollars

 

Order Changes after starting

  • Order details cannot be changed once deposit has been made and details agreed upon by both parties (artist and commissioner). This will be confirmed in an “Order details locked” type email.
    • I may allow for adjustments from the commissioner’s side if I have not yet started that part of the order on a case by case basis but these may be subject to an additional charge
  • If a change must be done due to issues on my end (materials no longer being available or a certain technique cannot be done etc) I will contact you regarding this before proceeding. This can result in:
    • Adjusted price due to material cost (added cost or refund depending – I’ll confirm with you first)
    • Cancellation or refund to the commissioner

 

Order Fulfillment Timing

  • Orders are completed in the order that they have been accepted (Check the Status page here) Work on an order will not be started until the following two conditions have been met:
    • Order is at the top slot in the queue
    • Appropriate deposit has been made
  • Completion of an order varies based on artist schedule, number of commissions ahead of the order in the queue and complexity of order and materials available (such as if they need to be ordered).
  • From actual work start to product finish (not including shipping time), most orders will take between 3-5 weeks. I will send you an estimate of timing in the initial quote.  Commissioner understands and agrees that this is not a hard guarantee on order completion time but an estimate to the best of the artists ability and is subject to change.

 

Shipping

  • Shipping is not included in the original quote and will be added after completion of the order (This is due to final size/weight) and any requests from the commissioner
  • Default shipping will be Priority mail with tracking
  • If you wish to add on shipping insurance, please let me know. I will also take a photo of the finished product and its packaged box right before sending it as proof that the box/plush is sent to you whole and in good shape
  • I will ship internationally if allowed by your country. Responsibility on checking if your country allows items from the US falls upon the commissioner.  I accept no responsibility for failure or inability to get the order to you if your country does not accept items from the US.  By asking for a commission slot, the commissioner agrees that they have looked this up beforehand.  No refunds will be issued for failure to ensure ability receive the order.
  • I am not responsible for delays due to customs, weather, post office delays (such as holidays or other issues out of my control)
  • Any additional charges due to customs falls upon the commissioner. I will not mark the order as “gift” when shipping.
  • A handling fee is added to shipping to cover the cost of packaging material. This is usually between $2-$5 depending on size.

 

Refunds/Returns

  • Refunds are only issued for the previously mentioned cancellation due to artist circumstances which are in no control of the commissioner
  • Refunds are not available for any other reason
  • I do not accept returns
  • If the order arrives to you damaged as a result of the shipping service (in a manner that is not represented in the finished product photographs sent prior to shipping) you may request for the item to be repaired at a fee and shipping at your expense.
  • Products are handmade and not meant for rough handling or play. I am not responsible for wear and tear or damage due to inappropriate handling.

 

Re-sell policies

  • If for some reason the commissioner needs to re-sell a commissioned artwork, they agree to the following
    • Credit will be given to the artist with appropriate links made to Fantasy X Infinity Designs

 

In requesting a commission slot the commissioner states that they have read and understand all the terms of the TOS and agrees to comply entirely.
